Meet our new Trustee Directors

The Sainsbury’s Pension Scheme is run by a corporate Trustee. Some of the Directors of the Trustee company are appointed by Sainsbury’s and some are from the Scheme membership.

We would like to thank the retiring Directors, Beverley Crouch and Steve Bradbury, for their contribution to the running of the Scheme. Beverley served on the Benefits Committee for six years and Steve was a member of the Investment Committee since 2010.

We would also like to thank Mike Boag for his time spent as an Argos Trustee.

We now have a new Member Nominated Director, Sally Holdstock and welcome Rachel Clark as a new Company Nominated Director. Both joined us in March this year. Here’s a bit more about them:

Sally Holdstock

Sally has been with Sainsbury’s for 35 years, working in many commercial areas across the business including the Far East and other international projects. She currently is a lead Programme Manager in the Commercial Transformation team.

Sally is a specialist in Project Management and has a keen interest in pensions challenges, bringing her experience in risk and stakeholder management to the Scheme as a new trustee.

Rachel Clark

Rachel has been with Sainsbury’s for six years, working across Corporate and Commercial strategy and food trading, where she led one of the Category teams.

Prior to joining Sainsbury’s, Rachel worked on large-scale transformation projects across Europe and Asia, and was based in the UK and Singapore.

Rachel started her career in investment banking, where she worked for 14 years, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory for large and medium-sized public and private businesses across many sectors in the UK and internationally.
