Scheme merger
In March 2018, following Sainsbury’s acquisition of Home Retail Group (the parent company of Argos), the Home Retail Group (HRG) Pension Scheme merged into the Sainsbury’s Pension Scheme.
As a result, the Sainsbury’s Pension Scheme has two sections – the Sainsbury’s Section and the Argos Section.
The merger did not change your pension or other benefits. Your pension remains the same and if it's not yet in payment, the date when it starts won’t change.
