New campaign to stop scams in their tracks

Stop! Think Fraud is the name of a national campaign that aims to give people the knowledge and tools they need to stay ahead of scams. No one is immune to being scammed – in fact, 1 in 17 adults were victims of fraud in 2023*.

Stop! Think Fraud is an exercise by the UK government in partnership with City of London Police, National Cyber Security Centre and National Crime Agency.

They have created a website that tells you everything you need to know about scams and how to avoid them. Find out if you’re at risk, how to spot the tactics and techniques used by fraudsters, and what to do if you’ve lost money or data.
